Hillandale is a garden very dear to me, featuring on the cover of my book, Dreamscapes. I love visiting gardens which are creations of the heart, and where owners are also highly skilled, passionate, and hard working. Owner, Sarah Ryan is a true artist gardener. She likes to walk her garden, facing into the light at the beginning and end of each day - exactly how I like to photograph. I adored this play of evening light, backlighting echinops and dancing insects.
