I am drawn to the freshness of this image. While still being quite layered, it also has simplicity of form and colour - qualities I love. Dan Hinkley, in his beautiful garden Windcliff, pointed out this vine, Akebia trifoliata var. australi and mentioned its special backlighting effect, which I later returned to capture in the evening light.
