Ladybird poppies are one of the most beautiful plants for backlighting effects - my preferred method of photographing plants. Even their slightly hairy stems are stunning, almost translucent. Here I had the perfect setting for them at Le Jardin de Berchigranges, in France, with a slight morning dew and simple, dark background.
