Echinops again. One of the first plants I remember photographing and observing how magical they are, especially when backlit. I love the abstract colours and shapes here,and the dark background, somehow found in this garden scene. I used to love painting, and so enjoy playing with this more free style of photography, paring things back to just form, colour and light. These are such grand, unassuming plants, a great subject for focus and contemplation.
