PINETUM

So many people were impacted by Covid19. For me, it meant experiencing my first winter in around 15 years! Unable to return to my home country of Australia, I made a visit to Bedgebury National Pinetum in Kent, England, close to where I'd been staying during lockdown. After an immensely long, and difficult grey period, snow started to fall in February, and I was relieved that things were starting to move again. It was a joyous few hours photographing in the snow, as though I had travelled to another country and moment in time. I love this spot and have returned to it many times in other seasons, but it never has the magic of this beautiful snowy day.
